Order picking is one of the key tasks in warehouse logistics. We collect everything that needs to be in your recipient’s shopping cart. Our pickers choose the picking process that best suits the storage methods and your order: FEFO, FIFO, LIFO, HIFO, LOFO, pick by light, pick by scan, goods to person.

Services with a shopping feel

Paperless picking

At all our locations with warehouse logistics services, we use the paperless pick by scan method for business and private deliveries. Picking is carried out in one or two stages depending on the volume and weight of the shipment. And, if required, we carry out quality checks during the picking process. The inventory is continuously updated as the serial numbers are recorded.

First expired first out (FEFO)

Under this storage principle, we pick goods with the earliest expiry date first. We use it for perishable storage units such as food or pharmaceuticals where the best-before date is the decisive criterion for storage.

First in first out (FIFO)

With this method, items that are stored first are also picked first. It is used, for example, in flow rack storage.

Pick by scan

Pick by scan is a paperless picking method for which we use a mobile data acquisition (MDA) device. This replaces the traditional paper picking list. The order data is either stored locally or provided by the warehouse management system via WLAN. This reduces the amount of unproductive time in the order picking process.

Goods to person

Automated warehouse logistics ensures the goods are provided dynamically and automatically. Your items are carried directly to the order picker in containers or on pallets using the latest conveyor technology. We maintain picking stations for individual and layer picking. Naturally we return opened pallets to storage in our high-bay warehouse.

Pick by light

This procedure is not personal and is common in our spare parts warehouses. A display on the shelf uses light signals at each storage location to indicate which items are to be picked for the order at hand. A numeric display shows the number of parts; the picker confirms removal by pressing a button.

Pick by vision

For this order picking process, the order picker uses data glasses to assemble the items or goods for customer or production orders. These smart glasses provide them with information on the respective order on their round. The glasses also show them which shelf or pallet an item is on. This technology is currently still in development.
